I'm bumping this thread in case folks have missed it in the hullabaloo around style personas.

Personally, I slather untinted leather conditioner (what is "moisturizer"?) on all my leather products. It doesn't make the color come off, but it does change the the color ever-so-slightly on some of them. I'm ok with a little color change if it means I can get a few more years out of my shoes, purses, etc.

I have a Coach pebbled leather handbag that is about 5 years old. The top part where it folds in toward the center zippered compartment appears that it is starting to dry out/crack slightly. I went into the local Coach store and they couldn't really tell me what I should do about it because all of their notes said not to use moisturizer on pebbled leather. I will likely go visit the local cobbler to get his opinion, but I wanted to know if anyone else had encountered this and what they did about it. The bag is green and the lady at Coach thought the color might come off with moisturizer.
