				<description>&#060;p&#062;Like Laura says, skirts with the pleats stitched down or where the pleats start lower seem to work better since the pleats then can't pouf right over your hip flare.  I've had some luck buying a size larger so the waist drops lower, resulting in the pleats sitting lower too.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Yeah, I gave up on pleated skirts a few years ago. Not that they can't work if they fit correctly, but most skirts off the rack will not fit right. I have found that ones with the pleats stitched down to the low hip are better, and the stitching provides a visual vertical element that helps draw the eye up and down rather than straight to the bum.
