Thanks again ladies! All your comments are very helpful!

SO- I was cruising you tube trying to find some videos on how to knot pearls. Really you get a bunch of videos on how to actually thread the pearls- not what I was looking for. But then I came across a couple of videos that utilize "clip-it's" with pearls. They allow you to wrap them in many different ways and then utilize a detachable clasp. Has anyone tried these yet with their long strands?
It seems like they added a lot of versatility to the single strand.

Welcome, DanaLynn, nice to have you here.
I find that I reach for pearls more and more lately - for all types of outfits. I don't have Nordstrom's ones but I have 3 strand of freshwater pearls and use them all the time. I also have one necklace of 3 strands of chunky pearls and a long 2-strand chain necklace with different sizes of pearls.

Welcome, Dana Lynn! I am thrilled that you posted on the forum. You comment regularly on the blog and I always enjoy your astute and eloquent words.

You've made a good decision purchasing the Nordies strand of pearls. Very versatile and excellent quality. Good weight.

How about another accessory from Amazon?

Thanks ladies! Kyle I already spend FAR too much time on here and now you have me addicted to the archives.

I have a gift card for amazon and I was thinking of getting a strand from there. I like how the pearls look on many of you all and realized, after checking out the store, these are probably the same pearls. I think I will go with the Nordstrom ones as you suggested. The amazon ones are 5mm and the ones you all wear are 10mm. I think that would make a dramatic difference.

I like the idea of mixing it up with more casual wear and tucking them under blouses.
I think I'm just about sold on them.

Now what to spend my Amazon gift card on....

I like them hidden under blouses as well, so you just catch a glimpse. It simultaneously makes you more glam while keeping casual.

Nice to see you post - looking forward to when you post pics!

I prefer pearls mixed with a casual look: Jeans and a white blouse or a moto black jacket. It's unexpected and more trendy!

If you look in the archives and review Angie's outfits you will be treated to a master class in the power of pearls. Also, have you seen the strand recommended in the store? They are lovely quality and quite vesatile...this might be a good place to start, and you could experiment a bit from there to see what works for you. I'm a big fan of the piles of pearls look, and it sounds as though you could pull this off easily. Although I enjoy wearing pearls in classic fashion, I also like wearing them with leather or denim, for example, where they are less expected. If you do order from Nordstrom, and then don't like them, it's an easy return.

I have realized the error of my ways. Pearls are wonderful!

I would like to get a string for myself but I am trying to justify the purchase. I have a few ideas for ways to wear them but would love to see some of your favorite outfits with pearls.

I'm also interested in what you can do with these long strands. I've seen Angie's video and I'm wondering if there might be other ways to knot and loop and pile em on!

My last question- I've found varying lengths. I vaguely recall someone mentioning around 60". I'm kind of leaning for the 100"- is that ridiculous? Keep in mind I am plus size so I won't drown in bulky accessories. If I had it wrapped five times I don't think it would over power me or my clothing. Thoughts?

Thanks for your helps ladies!
