You've gotten some good advice about seeking help dealing with the fear and anger that such a terrifying incident brings. It seems like these incidents are increasing even in my suburban area. We are surrounded by natural areas and homeless people along with mentally ill people are camped in there. I am glad that you both made it home safely. Homelessness and substance abuse is an issue faced in my City too, especially in the downtown city precinct. It is frightening, because when I first started working in the city it was a rare occurrence to see homeless people on the street but now it is so normalised and the crime level is unfortunately high. Plus, she resisted arrest because three officers were needed to subdue her. I was able to call her last night and she was able to alleviate some of the acute terror I was experiencing at that moment. </p>
