I love the blue/black houndstooth but they look a touch snug and with that type of vertical pattern, any curve is accentuated by the lines.

To my eye, they read as leggings. For this reason I do not think they will take well to alterations.

A houndstooth pattern in blue, I love it! I do think I would prefer them a little looser if you were to wear them as clamdiggers. Also love the idea of pattern mixing with these.

I am far from an expert on fit, but I would like to see a size up. Cute jeans!

good point. if you are going to cuff, the tightness of the jean will cause the cuff to dig into your leg, esp if made with a substantial jean-y fabric.. a regular tailred hem may work. try straight leg?

Oh, sorry - visible panty line! If the jeans are a substantial fabric, not like a thinner knit, you probably won't have to worry about that aspect.

The jeans are pretty stretchy and substantial- jean-y and not knit-y. There are the regular jean pockets and zip fly but the front pockets are not real. I'm not sure what vpl is?

Patience, how substantial is the fabric? Are there pockets built in? Is there danger of VPL?

They look like like leggings, are they? Is the pattern straight? I wonder if you could adjust it to straighten it out? These would be really cute under a denim skirt or short dress.

Hmm...that's a tough one. They do look fairly fitted. Are they substantial, like jeans? If so, you might be okay with shorter tops. I can't tell from the photo.

I think they're really cute. I love the houndstooth pattern. They'd probably look good as clamdiggers, too.

I ordered these houndstooth skinniest from the Nordstrom sale. I ha visions of cropping them to clam diggers and pattern mixing. But I'm wondering-- are they too skinny to wear except as leggings? Do they look okay? Thanks in advance.
