Ladies, I tried belting it as my first inclination, but felt that the length did not work well.
Wonder if I had just wrapped the scarf if that would have made a difference. Maybe scrap the scarf and do a long necklace instead??? food for thought...

Such a beautiful colour of blue on you! I agree with the others that either knotting the cardi with no scarf, or having the scarf and maybe belting the cardi would work perfectly.

Tracey, I really like the colour of the sweater. How about adding a skinny belt?

Just echoing the others here! Colour is so pretty on you. I think it would work tied like this without the scarf (but you might have been too chilly!) or it could work belted....

I would like to see a pic of the outfit with the sweater belted, I think that would work, or you could tie the sweater but not wear the scarf - the two knots compete.
The color looks beautiful on you!

You are not kidding! I think it works fine, but I also agree that the two knots compete a little. Try keeping it open, but with a skinny, low-contrasting belt over both dress and cardigan. That often looks good to my eye. The color os fab on you!

I agree with you that it seems that the cardigan is too long for the garment - it hides your pretty shape! I am not sure if tying it like that is the best idea (with the knot in your scarf it kind of works against each other)

This site (Extra Petite is the blogger) has some suggestions with cute pics - I dunno if any of these solutions will work for you: http://goo.gl/M3xyA

I can see why you love the colour - it looks fantastic on you & with the dress. I am not loving the tie (but I don't think it looks bad) did you try belting it?

So, I loved the color of this sweater, but didn't love the length as I am really trying to focus on dressing my petite body. So, I tied it and wonder if I am kidding myself that this works.

So, am i delusional or can I get away with this?

I look cold in that second photo...
