I like the pattern mix too! It's busy - but harmonious :)

The rolls look just fine because of the shape of the trousers and footwear. Nice!

Your pups steal the show So cute.

I can't tell if the pattern in the blouse has black or navy. The sweater is a navy ground, yes? The pattern mix would be better if the blouse is navy, but either way, I don't mind it. Would you consider buttoning the middle of the sweater to give it a little more shape?

Girl, you've got to have those pants taken in! They'll be way more flattering taper them in the seat and the thighs. We're they expensive? If not, you might be better off finding a pair that fit better.

Texstyle, I think you nailed what is off.
The pattern mix is ok, but a bit busy. I prefer the pants rolled!

This is okay but it isn't 100% for me - I think it's because both patterns are sort of "busy" on the eye. If one had a simpler, larger scale print, like a bigger geometric instead of the smaller scale, I think it might work better. As it is they seem to be competing a little.

I'm not sure either - the top & jacket don't seem to relate imo but honestly this is not my forte. What AG said about the pants.

Da puppeez!

Okay, back to normal. I like the pattern mix. The pants need some kind of tweak to look intentional to my eye - perhaps worn lower? Or cuffed again? Or belted?

I think the pattern mixing looks fun and not too much. The solid, neutral pants seem to ground the overall look - in my eyes!
But I kept squinting at those cute doggies in the middle - like my contacts weren't to be trusted - seeing doubles! Too cute!

The pants look pretty roomy in the rear and I wonder if they'll stretch even further with wear. Maybe rolled until they hug your calves might help rein in a little of the slouch and make them look intentionally roomy/slouchy.

I'll be watching to see what our slouchy experts say

I am not sure about this pattern mix, Pil. I mean that quite literally. I look at it one way and quite like it, and then another way and think, what is linking these? IRL the color association may be stronger than in the photos. But the idea of a floral and a graphic is a good one.

Can the pants be rolled one more time? Or do they become too snug on your calf then?

This is definitely enough to make Thistle's head spin!

When I bought these two toppers I wasn't intending to try them together. Should I keep it that way, or do they work in some odd way?

Also, the pants. They are Loft Marisa linen/cotton. (The ones I was telling Unfrumped about, in case you happen to see this thread.) When I tried them on and did the dressing room squat to loosen them up a tad, all was good. They stretch considerably - and this picture is right out of the wash. Are they bad enough that they need to be taken in, or do they fall under the realm of "slouchy relaxation"?

Is the rolled version in Angie's ankle pant poison eye zone?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
