The report after surgery was that it did indeed go much as expected. Resting in the hospital, where Covid meant she couldn’t have a private room, the sleep mask I sent her came in handy. It has the design of a piece of art, from a show she wants to go to in October, on it. She’s been recovering in the hospital, started eating again yesterday, and has been cleared to check out today.
