My hair is naturally wavy (well, more like frizzy). I usually blow it out for most of the fall/winter/spring but most summers I wear it curly because it is just too much trouble to keep it straight in the humidity. I think this style really appeals to my inner child. I was a pre teen in the late '80s when everyone was getting perms. My mother would never let me have one and the closest I could ever get was washing my hair at night and having her put rollers in it for special occasions. Turns out I don't even need a perm-- just the right technique.</p> <p>Laura, you make a good point about the pregnancy thing. My hair is the one thing that has been treating me nicely. I suspect it is always curly but possibly even more curly when I'm pregnant. I guess I just won't know till next year.</p> <p>Lesley, I'm half Cuban with Spanish heritage. I always knew my hair was wavy but it gets mostly straight just by brushing. The stylist told me to never brush my hair when it's curly. And yes, I LOVE that it's so easy. I also LOVE the variety. Patience, Sarah and I got together today for coffee and a little shopping. When Patience arrived, I thought she had used a curling iron to curl her hair, but she had gotten her hair cut and styled today and wore it naturally curly/wavy. It looked so pretty! It turned out she went and saw Bobby, who is my hairstylist (I guess her hairstylist too, now). He's so awesome! </p> <p>I took photos to post here, since things are so busy with her little ones, we weren't sure if she would have time to take any this evening. The curl is soft and really pretty. I don't think the photos do her hair justice because it was windy today, which was kind of making it flatten a little bit. I hope she wears it this way all the time.
