I'm with Patience on the not liking anything to touch my abdomen. I just got a pair of JW maternity jeans that I love because they have a stretchy below the waist band instead of a panel. I went with those instead of the Citizen Humanity because the CHs had a full belly panel.

BF - I would definitely try the bella band if you like having tummy support. I hate it because it's too much constriction around my waist, but you might find that it's perfect for what you're looking for.

Patience,I tried the underbelly Gap maternity jeans from my previous pregnancy with the tops that I normally wear. The tops looked too short as the jeans was the low rise kind. When I paired that jeans with tunic kind mid-thigh tops, then it looked good. The funny thing is that I bought the regular jeans from Kasper just three months back and now it is loose everywhere.Maybe all I had to do was pair the right tops with the under belly jeans.

BF -- are you saying you prefer over the belly style and the styles that sit at your hips are just too low? Also, are your regular jeans too loose because you lost weight with morning sickness? But your belly has gained girth? I'm afraid I'm an under belly kind of pregnant woman who can't stand any pressure on the abdomen so I won't be much help in suggesting ways to hold your tummy in. Have you tried smaller regular jeans if your current ones are too loose? Maybe the bella band is really the way for you to go even if you need to try smaller bottoms for now. It will definitely hold your tummy in.

Patience, I can not wait to see what tips/tricks you post for the 2nd trimester. Your post on 1st trimester style was very helpful to me, as I am newbie at this whole pregnancy thing.

Buddingfashionista - I have noticed that while I am not quite ready for maternity pants/jeans yet, my old jeans just do not fit anymore. I have found that I can wear 1 size up from my pre-pregnancy size, so as Patience suggested you may want to try this.

Thank you for your quick reply,Patience.I should've been more clear.I have a maternity jeans with simple waistband in the front and elastic waistband at the back with buttons on the sides to adjust the waist. This jeans is supposed to sit on my hips.Maybe 'coz this is my second pregnancy,my tummy has widened at the bottom and so I prefer something that holds the tummy in.But I will definitely try your suggestion of using a Bella band.My regular jeans has become very loose for me.

Buddingfashionista, I'm glad you enjoyed my other posts, and I will start thinking about a 2nd trimester post. I'm not sure what you mean by the adjustable waist not holding your belly in? If the maternity jeans don't seem to work can you just use your regular pants with a rubber band or bella band? Maybe this will work for you with a larger size regular pant.

I have been absent from this forum for a while now.Now that morning sickness is a thing of past,I am back to my normal self.I loved your posts on first Trimester style. They really helped me sail through the first trimester. Now that I am entering the second trimester,I would appreciate it if you could please do a post on second trimester style.I saw the outfits that you have posted on the forum. My main concern is the in-between stage when I-am-not-showing-yet and its-too-early-for maternity jeans. The maternity jeans with the band feels too loose and the one with adjustable waist doesnt hold my tummy in.I have two pairs of jersey skirts, like the ones you posted, but am struck about the tops to wear with them.Banded tops don't go well with these skirts and regular knit tops make me look fat in the middle.Button-downs just dont feel comfortable.I will take pics of these clothes and ask for everyone's opinion on the tops to wear.
