Lots of unique jewelry and clothing boutiques. The jewelry spans a range of price points, with interesting designers. St Germain has an amazing pharmacy, full of well priced French skin care (right off the Blvd behind the Madison hotel) and the rue Cherche Midi is nearby with several great boutiques and leather bag options, including some local to Paris. I stopped into a few chain stores that aren’t found near me (Arket, COS) and found a few great things but I wish I’d made it to somewhere more Paris-specific! My plan was to go to the main Galleries Lafayette but jet lag won out. If I had money, I might spend it on things Paris is known for: Limoges dishware, perfumeries, and wine. Everything from global chain stores to overpriced "curated thrifting" in the Louvre shopping mall to flea market finds. My personal favourites were the flea markets, both specific fleas and the many vendors of new clothing and accessories to be found at the weekly farmer's markets around the city. Most of my purchases were new accessories from farmer's markets - good quality wool (scarf, beret) and leather purse at good prices.<br />In terms of vintage markets, we attended both Porte de Vanves and St Ouen. The former was like an extended garage sale with every grandma's old cutlery, tableware, silk scarves, etc, and made for a pleasant Saturday morning. The latter is absolutely a destination, it's huge and we didn't begin to have time to cover it but saw so many interesting things even aside from the stalls (like preparations for a pop-up meal in an art gallery with stunning tablescape...). There's an entire area for vinyl records which you might appreciate! But also everything else from stunning antiques to knock off sneakers. We bought very little here (some vintage postcards), it was more of an experience.
