Thanks for sharing. I love #5. My Trippen boots work for this look. I wear my wide legged pants to my ankles with Birks. But I am 5'7.5".

I think flares can be worn with flats, I surely do it! Probably the secret is selecting the right flare opening. I am guessing larger openings don't look that good with flares.
Nice cheat sheet, anyway. I still can't perfectly the rolled up look.

Wide-legged pants should be 1/2 inch above the ground. If they drag the ground, they get all dirty and messed up, which is not good. The annoying part is that ready-made pants come with the same inseam length no matter what the pant leg width is. Almost always. It's 28 inches for petite and 30 inches for regular.

Love these looks on others but not on me. I have an extreme poison eye for ankle pants on me (which is why I have not bought any pants this year as I cannot find any that do not end at my ankle bone). And because I have large calves, my dream of ever being able to tuck skinny pants into tall boots is permanently thwarted, as I cannot find any tall boots with a big enough shaft circumference to even pull up over bare legs, let alone be able to tuck any pants into them. Sigh. I do think the wide legs/flares as shown here are way too short. I think they need to just graze the ground and not swing like this. Great cheat sheet for those who can make it work, though.

Great cheat-sheet, except I think the photo of the flares is off. The pants are too short; in my mind, they should almost sweep the floor with flares and heels, not stop 1/2 to 1" off the ground.

Maybe. My fussy feet strongly dislike pointed toes, but I just bought some almond-toed Chelsea boots that might work.

Interesting. I think pointed toe flats can work with flares when one can't wear heels.

That's a helpful cheat sheet. I like it. I can't seem to make wide-legged pants work with flats, but I think it's because I'm short.

Just found these and thought I would share. Of course these are just one persons rules. I have been playing around with different looks and finding my own ways to wear mine. Even tried the big socks with my lace up higher shaft boots for a rainy day and really loved the look. Personally I do not like the slouchy look with flats. I prefer a smoother look. To me slouchy looks better with a more sporty type like sneakers. And wide leg and flares can look just fine with flats
