Love the navy peony, gray, port, spruce and possibly grenadine.

I find these Pantone colours don't always end up in store so we'll see. I'm always happy to find navy and gray.

Not crazy about them for clothes but hoping they translate into home. Half of those colors are what I want to use in my new house. I want to do a colorful palette that is different from the gray and monochromatic ones that have been on trend for the past 10 years.

I'm immediately drawn to Navy Peony, Shaded Spruce, Neutral Gray and Tawny Port. I'd have to see the Tawny Port IRL, though, to determine if it's for me or not. It might be a color that I couldn't wear. Also, I'm in the mood to lighten up my colors a bit. I like the pink but am not sure if it would look good on me or not. I struggle with pinks. Like kkards said, I'm glad that Navy is being continued. It's a great neutral for me.

Thanks for posting this UmmLila. I find these colors interesting. Like Shevia, I find it puzzling that in my area there are often few if any items offered in the proposed Pantone colors for the season. The standards continue to be black, white, grey (charcoal), and sometimes a shade of forest green or navy blue. For a color there is often bright Orange because that is the color of the local college sports team. I personally would love to find something in the London red, which is my favorite color in the grouping. I also like the pink and navy, but I sincerely doubt I will find those colors this fall in Central New York! (Funny to have a palette inspired by New York that does not apply to New York State! )

But aren't these colours taken from what the designers are showing in the fall fashion shows for clothing to come out later in 2017? So you wouldn't expect those colours yet. And Northern Hemisphere used to influence Southern Hemisphere for decades but now it is a tiny bit more two-way? And was there truth in Miranda Priestly's famous line in The Devil Wears Prada about "cerulean" and how it trickled into the mass market?

Completely agree with Lisap! When the fashion used to be more uniform, I would at lease see some of the colors trickle down to the global/mass market - remember cobalt jeans from a few years back? Now that there is even more variety, I see zero - and I mean zero - influence of these colors over here. In fact, I think global retailers like Zara and Mango, pretty much only produce stuff in neutral colors. I really miss the variety.

Well, I am pretty happy with the choices.

The New York palette has 6(!) cool colors, and I like them all. Navy, burgundy and blush has been my favorite combo for a while and I am very happy to see all the three colors featured. I also like the mid blue, grey and spruce green - maybe we will finally see more cool greens in the retail.

The London palette is too warm from me, but I will take the Blue Bell and Royal Lilac and add them to the first 6 colors.
