I used to look a bit weird in spa reception with a black business suit and multi coloured pastel or neon nails but I loved the comments it would generate! Two adjacent nails (ring and middle, or middle and index) in one colour, the other three a second colour. I've alternated colours too, but wasn't so keen on the outcome. I've also done all different colours and textures, which can be fun with a very plain monochromatic outfit.</p> <p>Recently, I've seen French manicures of clear/nude varnish with rainbow-coloured tips. Fun! I also saw a version in all-colour, where this lady had used glossy blue-black and matte green --- one hand was green with blue-black tips while the other was blue-black with green tips. OTOH, over last weekend I did my manicure with mint green on all but my ring fingers, which were a corally orange, then a coat of clear with a few silver sparkles over top. It was a really fun one, and I got many compliments. So one nail will be rectangle another flowers and so on. I also see triple repeats....yellow, blue, green, yellow, blue, green.</p> <p>I think it is a great way to go for a pedi.</p> <p>Personally, I am VERY basic. Maybe nude on the hands and red on the feet.
