Sorry, totally forgot to check back as had answered on the main Forum thread you posted. Yes, the picture loading is definitely better, I've only had one freeze since you removed the ads. Yea!

Thanks. I'm also wondering whether the ads have something to do with this. I have disabled them for logged in members, so let me know if that seems to help.

The other sites I visit are all pretty picture heavy and I don't have any problems, but none have the forum member thumbnail photos like YLF. I think you have a really good point about the memory reaching a tipping point when opening the photos. I've cleared my off line reading list cache and seem to have a bit more memory now. Of course since I posted this problem everything has been going smoothly! I'll let you know if it happens again. Thanks.

Thanks Jude. My iPad is also on 8.3 so I will see whether I can reproduce the problem here.

The likely reason for the crashes is that the browser is running out of memory and the photos are the drop over the full bucket. The root cause may be a problem in the YLF photo viewer code, or it might be a problem with the browser itself. Are there any other picture-heavy sites that you use regularly?

I have an iPhone 6 v8.4 and an iPad Air 2 v 8.3. Holding back on installing the v8.4 on my iPad as we've heard there are some problems with music. I've been a forum member almost a year and this has occasionally been an issue. It seems to happen almost daily now, but not if I'm looking at Angie's posts, just other member's photos.

Hi Jude,

The iOS app will only help on the iPhone and we'll be releasing that soon. But I would like to get to the bottom of the problem you're experiencing. Has this started recently, or has it been happening for some time. Also, can you tell me which iPad and iPhone you have, and which versions of iOS they are running?

Hi Greg: I understand from reading some tech support forum entries that you have a Beta version of a YLF ap. I use my iPhone and iPad almost exclusively. I have lots of trouble with the page freezing when looking at Forum photos and have to shut down, re-boot and sign in again. Does the ap make the YLF site more ios/mobile friendly and if so, could I try it? Or do you have another suggestion? Thanks!
