My husband thinks I'm crazy, but the last time we flew my bag (not anyone else's) got stuck in the machine and we had to wait at the airport until the next flight came in so that it could be unlodged. I get by with carrying a very large purse that I will tuck my regular purse and my make up bag, etc into when flying. Hawaiians generally dress very casually (my mom's side of the family all live there), so your beachwear, comfy sandals, and one going-out outfit should do. I tried to do a capsule but ended up with a bunch of semi-random items with a color theme. It all fit in a carry-on, however. I will try to take photos (I just got an i-phone!). </p> <p>Frankly we'll be spending most of our time on the beach with young boys so dressing up is not a big option, except for maybe a nice dinner out with my friends one night. Shoes are the biggest issue, actually - I need running shoes, beach wear, and a pair of sandals for walking around at a minimum. I hate leaving things behind, but I also can't stand checking a bag since I have the WORST luck with baggage getting lost. </p> <p>Anyway, tomorrow I'll be there drinking a mai tai and it will all be too late. Plus I can shop when it's raining! </p>
