I've had this happen to me before - so frustrating! Even though we have a camera at our front door, they insisted they had delivered it but definitely had not. In the end, I had to sort it out with the retailer. Glad yours showed up, but sorry the pieces didn't work out after all the hassle!

Because of the positioning of our house on a alley, have problems with Amazon delivering to the front, sometimes to the back, on the porch, beside the garage door.... then we search high and low to find the package. However, with the most recent delivery notification the driver included a picture of the delivery so we could see exactly where it was placed!!! Thus my love/hate relationship with Amazon continues....

I just had the same thing happen as Teresa and Staysfit--got an email at 3:30 saying they tried to deliver, but no one was home. That isn't true. We were here the whole time, and the doorbell works just fine. Anyway, I went to the pickup station and sure enough, there it was.

The "new" neighbors got it and brought it over 3 days later but Nordstrom has delivered another! The item (shoes) are not a good fit so sadly must now return both. But at least store gets both back.

On multiple occasions the tracker has shown a package was delivered that was not at my house. When I investigate further, I find it had arrived at the delivery station for disbursement to my house. I have learned to wait one to two days before getting worried after I see the text that a package was delivered.......

I had something similar happen with a UPS package shipped by Boden. It was shipped UPS but then transitioned to local USPS for delivery. The online status showed 'Delivered' so I went to the post office to find out more. Apparantly delivered in this case meant delivered to USPS, not me. I got it the next day. I checked the online status a day later and it read 'Delivered to Front Door'. Seems like there should be a better way...

I had this happen about a month ago, and sadly, the package never materialized. I expect it was stolen. It was from Anthro, and Anthro requires that you wait three business days from the supposed delivery date before they will consider the package lost. I'd probably wait 24 hours and then contact Nordstrom if still no package.

My DH received notification that his package arrived (work related equipment- very expensive) and looked everywhere and no package. Called Fedex and they said because of the holidays they could not do anything for at least 24 hrs. Numerous calls to supervisors, etc and no call back. The next day the driver delivered the package - he first delivered to the wrong address and laughingly said that if he had my DH's phone number he could have told him where he could get it (????) It is more likely that the person who got the package called Fedex to retrieve it.

I’ve had FedEx lie about a delivery before. The package showed up the next day. I prefer UPS to FedEx, but usually I don’t get to choose. Fingers crossed it shows up!

Also, wait one more day. Sometimes things state they are delivered a day early. It doesn’t make sense - but UPS is guilty of that from time to time.

Sometimes packages end up next door.

Porch pirates or delivery to the wrong address could be the problem. I've had good luck with Nordstrom shipping duplicates of orders that got lost that way.

Update: mine was delivered to our receptionist this morning. The address on it is, of course, exactly right. I suspect it simply wasn't dropped off here when FedEx came around yesterday. However, there is a FedEx store downstairs, so this seems like a no brainer to me....

I had a similar issue yesterday with a FedEx package from Nordstrom. The package supposedly out for delivery didn't come. The tracking info claimed the address was incorrect, but UPS had delivered other items from the same order a few days before with no problems, so either that's a lie or FedEx misinterpreted the address. I sent the packages to work, though, and FedEx usually has no problem delivering to this office building, I'd imagine. Maybe they're having tracking issues!

My Nordstrom tracker shows Fedex delivered a package last evening, but I was home, and, no package.
I will try to contact Fedex with the tracking #, but could it be a tracker error and it’s still to be delivered?

I guess I’ve been lucky so far with no delivery errors.
