But honestly, all my shoes end up looking "distressed" no matter what anyway. I am very hard on them. My poor shoes must wonder what sins they committed to get stuck with an abuser like me.</p> <p>I preferred the black-white-black of the Miz Mooz over the white-black-white of the Fitzwells. No reason. Just a personal, subjective preference. I had shoes like that when I was 14 so it's also a bit nostalgic. Probably more suitable for my hair color too, but it wasn't really a deciding factor.</p> <p>However, I should clarify that they are described as black and beige. I am hoping for a creamy color like in the pictures rather than a true, oatmealy anti-color that I associate with beige. Fingers crossed. I hadn't thought of that! </p> <p>Angie that's interesting about the dressiness. Hard to make that out from photos! Also I don't know if that its just the size that's pictured, but the Fitzwells do seem to make the foot look smaller than the MM ones. Not an issue for a petite size like Maya, but a big issue for size 10-er like me! Also I prefer the flatter heel of the Fitzwell's, I am truly a flats person all the way.
