That's a killer website and I'll enjoy catching up. Love the books.

That red gown in Paris is too cool for words. Simply stunning.

I'm a huge fan of the books and like the series although I'm not crazy about the changes made for TV. I agree that the costumes are gorgeous! And gotta love the men in kilts.

I never knew about Outlander until I was channel surfing and came upon a preview. I love this show but sadly we don't subscribe to premium channels. Just love the costumes.

Excellent links! I've never looked at the New Look suit quite like that. Positively Marie Antoinette...

ITA the costuming is a delight...I always wonder how these sumptuous fabrics were cared for back then??? Did they just wipe off the big spots and wear till they smell was too bad? Wear once and discard if uber wealthy??

I watched the first series recently. I had read the book ages ago. I really enjoyed it. Those costumes are gorgeous. I really liked her post world war outfits before she goes back in time.

I keep thinking I've posted about this site before but if so, it's not showing up in my search. My guy and I both really enjoy watching Outlander (I've been reading the book series for about 12 years; he's not much into reading but likes the show.)

One of the biggest pleasures of the show is the impeccable costuming. Gorgeous design, creativity and such consistency to the story and character. (I.e. If something doesn't look period authentic, there's a strategic reason; the series involves time travel as an impetus for the plot.)
The series' costume designer, Terry Dresbach, has a delightful and informative behind the scenes blog: http://www.terrydresbach.com

Here's a peek at bringing Dior's New Look into the 18th century Parisian court. Gorgeous.

http://www.terrydresbach.com/dior/

(Be warned, this article contains spoilers for the 1st season that aired last year.)
