It's impossible to overstate how much woven fabrics will help. I heard this a lot but was the t-shirt queen and pretty much ignored it. But now I have a few woven shirts and you wouldn't believe what a difference it makes. I still wear my tees, but as layering pieces under partially buttoned shirts. Then a half tuck and I'm good to go!

The shirts can be cotton but oddly even a thin silk works.

I agree about woven tops. If you do wear knits, try banded styles.

If you are dead-set on a fitted t-shirt, spanx (or similar undergarment) is an option. I've not used this top, but it seems to address the issue that worries you (http://www.spanx.com/product/i.....age=family)

Personally, I'm with alaskagirl--I have no waist (though no belly either) and I tend to wear wovens or a T-shirt with a topper of some sort.

I am the queen of this problem (or at least it's what I consider my problem area - lack of a waist and belly flab). My trick is waist-surrendering tops and tunics - swingy, oversized, etc. It allows the imagination to create a nice muffin-free zone. Also the half-tuck works wonders.

Some pics....

Two words: woven fabrics (i.e. button-front shirt material). Not knits, like t-shirt material, unless it's drapey!

Also, a cardigan partially buttoned over a t-shirt will work, as will a blazer or cropped jacket.

Hi. Literally just joined here.... frantically looking for some style advice that can help me hide some fat around my stomach. Not a lot at all, but noticeable under fitted t-shirts. It's not too bad. But I don't have a flat stomach.
Anyway.
Wondering what some outfits could be that slim my body but either layer clothes to hide this part of me or clothes that can help disguise it or draw away from it?
Thanks so much.
