My faves are Friday's outfit and the Weekend Warrior look. About the tweedy suit -- I like the look except I wish the jacket were more fitted. I'd like to see you try the suggestions to add a belt. I think Tanya's got a good point about the military jacket -- slimmer pants are in order. Great looks, Alecia!

I like your tweedy suit - it has so much flexibility and I like how you wore the skirt as a seperate. Maybe because it has been in the closet for a while it is just not inspiring you? Looks good to the "outside" world though.
The BR trouser jeans would be great with the tweed jacket as a weekend look.

Your Valentine's Day outfit is a knockout - the white pants are good on you and I love how you used a swap cami that looks made for you.

I quite like the tweedy skirt suit (those boots look great with it!), but I prefer the two pieces worn separately, like in the second picture with the sweater vest and the blouse.

Friday is great too. The fishnets and the scarf make the look.

The grey and white combo is yum (the AT sweater is beautiful), I feel it always has a sophisticated air to it, and I'll definitely be trying it when it warms up here.

The fitted vest is terrific, love your outfit! And the hat is fun;-)

Alecia -- you certainly don't need to feel discouraged about your outfits. You look great all week. I like the tweedy suit (and agree that a belt would be a great addition to the outfit). I also like the military inspired coat -- try it with slim pants or jeans and add a scarf. I think you can continue to get a lot of wear out of it. You look amazing in the vest outfit. And I like the Valentine's day and baby shower outfits as well. I think we all go through times where we feel a bit discouraged in recreating our wardrobe and feel like things just aren't working. So I am glad that you posted these outfits. I hope that you feel encouraged that you are looking very stylish indeed.

Are you kidding? You sounded like you weren't too sure about your week so I expected the worst in the pictures but what I saw was that you looked awesome all week. I love the twead suit on you. Everything you wore seemed to fit you great and the pants are PPL. The only thing I didn't care too much for is the silk top when it was worn without the jacket. It looked like a vest under the jacket and when you took off the jacket I didn't care for the look, but that probably is just personal opinion.
I love the military inspired coat and I can see why you keep going back to it.
Wow. You look fabulous.

I also agree that you look great the whole week. I especially like the vest on you.
I personally like the tweed suit, and really like the look when you removed the jacket. The only outfit I am not sure about is the one with the long military jacket; since I think that the jacket requires skinny pants. This way it is too much volume on volume.

Alecia, you look great in all your outfits. I like the twee suit outfit as well. I think a belt or long necklace would help break up the color of the sweater.

The vest outfit looks so good on you! I love the hat.

I also really like the baby shower outfit and the Valentine's outfit. Great job!

I'm bumping this. I'm surprised by the responses so far and would really be interested in what others think about the look with the suit, the ruffle top, and vest.

Joy, I don't have a cami underneath that top. I didn't have the lace cami at the time. The swap was the day after the baby shower. In any case, I wonder if the lace cami plus the ruffles at the neck would be too much.

Joy had exactly the same thoughts I did: the tweed suit is my favorite of the week, and a belt might be just the thing to break it up. And I LOVE the vest look on you! Definite keeper.

Alecia, first, what we see of your hair...it looks so cute!
I really like the tweed suit with the ruffle collar of the blouse and the boots. You might belt the suit jacket or top under the jacket with a narrow belt for a bit of a change. I think it's my favorite outfit of the week.
I can't see the details of military-inspired jacket outfit very well. My thought is that the outfit would benefit from a cream or colored long scarf.
On the next outfit the fit looks great. Have you tried it with a long chain necklace or a scarf?
The outfit with the lace cami is very cute!
I love the vest on you! You should get more vests. This outfit would also be smart with your dark denim BR trouser jeans.
Baby shower: You look polished and comfortable. Are you wearing a cami under the print top? Your lace cami might look good with this.
Great week and thank you for posting your pictures. You've inspired me to try tops like the babyshower one (if I can find one long enough without puffy sleeves) and a skinny belt.

Last weekend, the weather was beautiful, sunny and crisp. As the week progressed, it got cold, blustery and wet. I think the pictures may go in reverse order than how I actually wore them. The baby shower was last weekend.

http://s508.photobucket.com/al.....Valentine/

I have a feeling that people won't like the tweedy suit combo. I've really been a rut with my work clothes. I got rid of some of the suits that didn't fit as well but haven't had the budget to replace them. So I'm trying to make what I've got work. I'm getting frustrated but would be more upset with myself if I went out and spent money I didn't have. So it is what it is.

What do you think of the military-inspired jacket? It's years old but it's something I go back to again and again. But maybe I shouldn't? What do you think?

You also get to see a few of the things I snagged at the recent clothing swap. My favorite swap item is the lace cami. I had been thinking of getting one and then there it was at the swap. Another girl and I both wanted that cami and another more colorful, summery one. We had a cami-off for them, agreeing each of us would get one. So we both tried them each on and the collected group voted on who should get which. I was glad to come away with this one. I will get tons of use out of it.
