We were going to a party as Bonnie and Clyde so I was hunting for retro items - in the end I wore a tweed skirt which I already owned not this one but I have been thinking about wearing this but have been unsure how to carry it off. I enjoy a few retro pieces and try to mix pieces in with classic and/or current items. </p> <p>I don't have a Moto nor a classic white shirt- sadly! Have considered a Moto and there are some available now at good prices here in NZ. White shirts I like on others but struggle to wear myself. </p> <p> I liked 2 and 3 best with any of the shoes except the boots. I would not wear the waist band uncovered but I would wear with a wide belt - maybe? I have I say, tho, that it is one of those things I could never wear. I'm not really a skirt person and I have no waist so my comments do not come from any kind of experience, just dreaming. I agree that this color and skirt might be best worn with colors on the same spectrum if the aim is figure flattery. I'd love to see it with a cropped, textured or chunky knit sweater in a really similar tone with booties. But Id also love to see it with a white shirt, could be cool. I feel like this skirt would look best with a top that isn't straight across at the bottom. I also think lower contrast is better Hereford proportions. The waistline is the difficult area here because of the volume of the skirt. For me it would not be a work item.<br />&nbsp;Random thoughts<br />--I like the dark or more neutral colors better than the bright red. Kind of soft tonal with the metallic.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; --The shorter top works better<br />--the dark shoes and dark top are a nice mix, and&nbsp;provide a kind of bookending&nbsp;even though your hair is lighter in color.<br />--for dressy you might try a top in a dressier fabrication and with more structure than a T shirt. There are lots of metallic midi skirts around so I wondered if I could wear it in my real life. I have styled it with four tops and four different footwear options.</p> <p>1. Grey and black " love and hate" tee with pointy pumps.<br /> 2. Black hi lo tee with sandal boots.<br /> 3. Black crop jacket with tank under and nude stacked heel sandals.<br /> 4. Red tee with pale ankle boots.</p> <p>Excuse the hair and different angles please. Is the skirt a possibility or am I missing the mark? If so how would you style it? I don't want to buy anything new to wear with it but may have other options in the wardrobe. </p>
