We are all agreed, Deborah. Sad - because the colour of #2 is gorgeous. But you tried your best.

And you will look beautiful at the wedding in #1~ !!

I agree with everyone else. You look gorgeous in the first outfit and something is off in the second dress, (although you still look gorgeous!)

Thanks again ladies and Angie thanks for popping by:)

I am thrilled the wedding outfit is a winner. I felt it was but always appreciate the feedback.

The other dress is going back today. It was a good excercise bringing it home and taking the pictures. I have been studying the body types recently and wondered just what body type the blue dress would work on. I concluded (generally speaking of course) that this dress could work on an IT?

Your wedding outfit is an 11 out of 10! Stunning.

You are right that cobalt looks fantastic on you, Debs! Good job being swayed by the colour. Like the others, I do vote return the dress. The pattern sizing in the flt and flare silhouette is a little odd.

We're all in accord, Deborah! I will say that I would have pulled that blue dress off the rack to try, too! Keep looking for this color. And I sometimes wonder myself if some pieces don't photograph as well as they look IRL.

#1 is perfect, unless it's an evening wedding. I believe in bling in evening weddings.

You look STUNNING in that first dress Deborah and I love the styling with the red accessories. Beautiful fit on you.

Like the others, the colour of the second dress is lovely but the way the dots get larger on the bottom half just isn't the best. Agreed that if the pattern had been consistent, it would have been a winner.

Thank you so much ! You know I realised tonight that whenever I post a keep or return I end up returning :). I think deep down I know but I seem to need your confirmation:).

I was swayed by the color of the dress in 3 and figured it wouldn't burst to take it home to try. Wish the pattern was consistent:(

Same as the previous comments. Love #1 styled as is, perfectly appropriate and chic. The larger dots and the fuller skirt on the blue dress are not the greatest for me.

Dress 1 looks great, and nice for a daytime wedding.

The colour of dress 2 is lovely, but I really don't like how the dots get so much bigger. It looks almost like a funhouse mirror, where your bottom half is stretching out bigger. I say return.

I agree with mscooks. The first dress looks fantastic on you, and I love the pattern details. I do love the colour of the other dress for you but not the bottom half, although it does not make you look frumpy. I would vote 1. Hope it helps.

Oooh I really like the Jaquie dress and think it would work well for a daytime wedding. I'm not keen on the larger polka dots on the bottom half of dress 2, I'd have liked it better if it had been the same pattern as the top half so I say return - hope this helps!

Hi Ladies,

I will apologise in advance for what may be long winded post :)

#1
is a Jaqui E Dress which I am thinking of wearing to my nieces wedding next weekend. I have styled it roughly - but not hair and makeup:)

What do you think? Does this work? It is a daytime wedding.

#2
is just a close up shot of the dress so you can see the details. It is black background with clusters of spots. And it has a gather detail at the waist.

#3 & #4 is the keep or return. I picked it up today with the thought it could be a good option for the wedding. I was particularly attracted to the color. (I have my promise to myself and have resisted buying anymore black dresses). However my concern with style of dress on me is that it makes me look frumpy. Looking at the photos I feel the pattern adds too much to my hip and tummy area and that it is not creating the fresh modern look i like. Should I take it back?

BTW, this dress in the mirror creates a much more slender silhouette than the photo..but which one is to be believed ....lol??

Thanks so much for taking the time to look.

In a nutshell:

Does Dress #1/2 look good to go for the wedding?

Keep or return Dress#3/4?

Thank you
xxx Deborah
