I think the main danger with buying clothes out of season, is that you can't road test them right away and figure out any pitfalls (and thus return). If your weather allows, Spring and Autumn are great times to buy any season, since the weather is fluctuating, and sometimes wildly. I bought wool tweed trousers yesterday!
