I don't use as many pairs of boots as I tend to change into shoes upon arrival if I'm going somewhere in the winter. I tend to freeze when I go back outdoors if I don't.

Would you not wear these to the arena in the spring, summer and fall? I don't own any but they are lace up, seem to have traction and would be able to climb the stairs, etc. there.

I think these are really cute. I love pewter, it is such a interesting metallic.

Yup. I completely understand this. For years, my Blundstones were my only "shoes." They are actually boots, of course. But I just wore jeans. Unless I was really dressed up in which case I had one pair of pumps. In retrospect it's no wonder I often felt like I had "nothing to wear." My only pair of sandals was black, too.

Next spring you can buy another nice bridge shoe. And very slowly build your shoe wardrobe. You don't need many, because boots are the main thing. But a few options will make your spring/fall outfits work much better.

Then you can diversify your sandal wardrobe. Get some neutrals and some colours going.

So true. I have an astonishing number of sandals (I almost hate to confess that 10 pairs are black). This year I purchased Veronica Fryes and I have flat ankle boots. I do have 6 pairs of winter boots. It is the in between that is so tricky. I used to work in an office every day but now work from home. Office was easier - much more defined in terms of clothing and footwear. I may also add a pair of privos or another pair of skechers. So it is a bridge shoe. I spend quite a bit of time in hockey arenas but wear boots or runners there. I will try them on with some jeans later and see what I think.

Yes. I think you can definitely wear these with jeans in spring and fall and even cool summer days. I wouldn't want to wear them with socks, myself.

I understand your shoe dilemma better now.

It is a perennial problem for those of us who live in a place where sandals and boots are the two main kinds of footwear. Shannon (winnipeg) and I (Kingston) have commiserated over this many a time.

Thanks Suz. I have one pair of black skechers and boots (3 pairs of black ones). In the summer/spring I wear sandals. I purged some outdated leather shoes. Do you think these might be ok with jeans ?

Hi, good thought on the season. I am in northern Canada so it is only fall and spring. Winter will be boots only. Now I am wondering whether the light sole can be used for fall.

Glad they are comfy! Metallic shoes are fun and they should work with denim - but what do you usually wear?

I quite like them! Will they work OK for your fall-winter clothes? (I hope your not in Australia or something or I would be rather embarassed. xD)

Hello YLFers, still working on getting some casual MOTG shoes since I purged all closed toe shoes and returned all the others that I posted. Angie suggested a metallic in the dock shoes would be more versatile. I picked them up at lunch today - they are so comfortable and not black! I will confess I had the black on for awhile in the store. I have never worn metallic before! What do you think? They are a quilted silver/pewter colour.
