Have you already tried, do you have particular things you're looking for suggestions about?</p> <p>I'm too lazy to pull my tripod out each morning, so I just find stuff to set the camera on that's a good height. When taking photos in my backyard (so, the ones brick patio with the bark background) I set the camera on my hot tub; in the front (in front of the giant rhody) I set in on the brick siding on my porch; in the front (up the driveway with the fence background) I set it on top of my car :)</p> <p>You want to set the white balance to something correct for outdoors, set the focal length long (F8.0 is good). You'll want to have the sun be in front of you for the best lighting, and the lower in the sky (so early or late in the day) the softer and prettier the lighting will be. If the sun is to the side of you, you'll probably have to turn into it to keep from getting harsh shadows. If it's cloudy, it doesn't really matter since the light is scattered all over (I like clouds for outfit photos personally, even if the lighting is considered "flat"). If you're in direct sunlight that's overhead then it's going to be tricky to get a good shot (so again, earlier or later sun is much better).</p> <p>Umm I'm rambling.
