Without going into detail, I had a hysterectomy 18 months ago and it has been a very positive thing. So if this surgery can correct this problem you are having I am very confident you will come out the other side and not know yourself (in a good way).</p> <p>I realise from your original post that this surgery means no more biological kids (did I get that right?) and obviously this was something I had to consider 18 months ago also. But through my faith I found peace and experienced no sense of loss as many do. It must be scary, for both of you in different ways, and you're both being so very brave. You're a great example to Bebe, even through your pain and distress.</p> <p>For what it is worth, and I do realize I'm certainly preaching to the choir here(!), I've got a whole bunch of 'bleeder' friends (NO idea why we aggregate like clumping cells!), with causes ranging from endometriosis to idiopathic; about half have had one or the other surgery you mention, and ALL feel MUCH better after. Some have had no problems at all ever since, but even those who are still outside the norm are VASTLY better, and live more fully for it. Not one regret.
