She was a little terror yesterday. Pulled all sorts of outrageous stunts to get me out of bed and to the feeding station. But I was glad to see her being so naughty, because naughtiness usually corresponds to healthiness. </p> <p>Today she just seems confused. She has to take one of her pills with food, but the other one has to be taken on an empty stomach. In the morning, after she took her antibiotic, I was following her around with her food dish and driving her crazy until she finally relented and ate a bit. In the afternoon, when we gave her the other pill, she wanted to eat, but I had to take her food dish away! She is just totally confused, poor thing.</p> <p>She has been sleeping with me for the past several days which is sooo nice. I like having a nice warm, soft, purring little pillow on my bed.</p> <p>April, anyone who thinks cats are standoffish hasn't met enough cats (certainly no Siamese cats). Kitties are as diverse in personalities as humans are. She has also started to eat a little bit today and so far hasn't vomited. Now I just need her to drink some water and use her litter box and we will be all set. I'm SO relieved. The doc thinks it was a reaction to the antibiotic we gave her for her UTI. She was in such bad shape this weekend I was sure it was something worse. </p> <p>Thank you everyone for your well wishes and kind words. They really did help a lot.</p> <p>Marianna: Poor Gertrude! I hate the sound of animals crying. Glad she is all better now and splinter-free.</p> <p>Angie, I'm very happy that your puppy dog is in good shape now. I stayed home with kitty all weekend and I was STILL a wreck. My Duffy went through so much crazy stuff when he was alive, including getting into a fight with another kitty that led to an abscess in his cheek. When we heard that Jasmine was deathly ill, we flew back from London in the next 5 hours, not knowing if she would be alive on the other side. We headed straight to ICU from the airport when we got to Seattle. It was a very traumatic time. That little girl has been through a lot and I was an utter wreck.
