Sorry to hear you are in the hospital. I hope you are comfortable as can be and that your associates keep you supplied with lots of silly things to read.

Glad you're being monitored in hospital but I can imagine how bored you must be getting. I'd suggest reading a book but I guess after nearly 2 weeks in hospital you've read enough. Do you have access to a hand held computer game like a nintendo DS. I can spend many an hour playing on mine x

Just sending hugs for you and the little one! Take this time to read and watch adult movies, as there will be precious little time for that after the baby arrives. Plan some easy meals if you don't have a lot of help with that. Address your announcement cards, maybe? Also give your husband lots of to-do lists.

Sorry to hear about your extended hospital stay. I hope it goes by quickly and you are holding that new little bundle of joy in your arms in no time!

When i was preggo, only about 4 months along i had to spend a week in the hospital because my ashtma was acting up; it got old really quickly. To pass time i just did the normal stuff like watched tv, read books, took advantage of making someone else prepare and bring food to me.

Can you take little walks around the hospital? I know i enjoyed checking out the new babies in the nursery!

Hang in there and keep us posted!

Oh, I'm so sorry. As others have mentioned, the end of pregnancy is often unpleasant in the best of circumstances and all the more so when things don't go smoothly. As for what to do...I think anything that occupies your hands and mind. Do you knit? Sew? Maybe it's a good time to read some less-than-challenging novels. I read the whole Sookie Stackhouse series in the the week before dd2 was born.

LW, I am so sorry to hear of the complications and that you are bed bound !! But it will be sooooo worth it...well, until he/she is 8 and starts getting mouthy.....oh sorry, I started to rant there ! : )

8.5 years ago, I spend 3 months on partial bedrest and 4 on complete bedrest ( complete placenta previa ) At first I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack, then I decided to rent a recliner and get premium tv channels !!! I was only allowed a 5 min. shower every three days. So every morning, in bed, I would wash my face , tweez my brows, do a full face of make up, try different scarf tying techniques - I even put on lipstick every day !!! This killed a couple of hours for me.

Our niece, who was staying with us at the time ( she was 20 ) thought that I was also having some sort of breakdown...I must have looked like Bozo the clown when she got home from class ! ( And now, that little girl mouths off at me ..... )

Enjoy this time talking to your baby and really enjoying this time alone with your baby.
I hope that you don't find it stressful, but rather a peaceful and quiet time for the two of you.

Thinking of you and your bub fi. Best wishes for the next week or so. I'm glad you are in the best spot & being monitored closely.

As far as activities I don't have many suggestions apart from planning your summer MOTG wardrobes, online shopping, lots of YLF time (it might be a bit scarce over the next couple of months!!) some good books (I'm hooked on Paulina simmons bronze horseman triology at the moment).

Look forward to hearing your baby news. Take care & rest up.

Oh no!

Fi, what a stressful couple of weeks you and baby LK have been through. I am *very* glad that you are past the magical 35 wk mark and that you and baby LK are in hospital being monitored very closely.

Have you been put on steroids? Is baby handling everything ok? Are you managing to get lots of rest? Have you given your husband strict instructions that the house must not only be clean, but sparkling as it has never sparkled before upon your return home? ;-)

Please keep us posted and let us know when your precious bundle officially makes his/her arrival!

Oh Fi! Pre-eclampsia is a nightmare from what I've heard. Glad that they've spotted it and are looking after you.

What a drag for you, though.

I don't have any great ideas of how to spend your time, except that something that can keep your hands busy might be no bad thing. Do you do anything craft-y that would work while you're in hospital? Sewing or knitting? Writing? Plan your MOTG wardrobe?!

Late pregnancy isn't much fun anyway, but so sorry that you've this to contend with as well. Thinking of you - keep us updated!

A couple of weeks ago, I was all geared up to spend the next weekend taking and posting what I had been wearing during my pregnancy...however this idea went completely out the window when I was admitted to hospital for the remainder of my pregnancy with a condition called pre-eclampsia. I was 34 weeks and 1 day when I was admitted and I am now 35+6. Unless my or the baby's condition gets worse, little londonkiwi will be staying put until I get to 37 weeks.

Fashionwise, I am making full use of my loungewear!

Am starting to get a little bit bored, so any suggestions of how to spend my time are welcome.
