I'm glad that he's excited about the sport! My boyfriend's brother wrestled and is now a wrestling coach, and it's been great for him, so I don't mean to speak poorly of the sport. It just comes with a whole lot of special concerns that I've seen firsthand. Making weight was also a problem for some of my friends when they were expected to maintain the weight they started at as freshmen in order to keep their spot, even though they were growing throughout high school. You don't want to ignore these things.</p> <p>My son's sport of choice is ice hockey: equal parts dangerous and stinky (as in equipment that cannot be washed). We are off to the Walk In Clinic after lunch to get him taken care of.<br /> *sigh* </p>
