They are apparently so well fed they don't bother people at all, and there are special platforms for observing them. I guess the only bad thing is how buggy it is with the mosquitoes! Maybe some day I'll get the opportunity to head that way, but so far Vancouver on a business trip is as close as I've gotten. </p> <p>Show your son the link if you think he'd be into it. I have my kids and all my nephews and nieces tuning in throughout the day. It is quiet in the mornings but come late afternoon and evening AKST, there are usually at least half a dozen bears there and some days the salmon are really jumping out of the water and everybody gets to eat.
