Thanks for the comments.

Angie - I have almost completely forgotten that I had an exam, it seems an age ago. Hopefully, I passed and wont have to re-take it.

Work is still busy, we have a stand at the Hay-on-Wye Literary festival starting this week so I am there from Monday through to Wednesday and then we have 7 events with members, donors and the "great and good" starting the end of June, most of which I am organising!

Welcome back, Fi! So glad that you actually made it to your sister's wedding and got to spend quality time with friends and family too. Thanks for sharing. More pictures are welcome!

How was your exam? And how are those huge life changes coming along. I remember that you spoke about those things just before you left.

Fiona, thanks for sharing the details of your trip with us! I'm so glad that you made it in time for your sister's wedding. It really looked touch and go for a few days there, but it all worked out in the end for you. I agree with you, catching up with an old friend over a glass of wine is priceless. The scenery picture is beautiful! I would love to visit NZ someday.

I have finally got back into the swing of things after arriving back from New Zealand last week and have managed to catch up on most of what has been going on in this community.

Being back home was fantastic, my sister's wedding - which we made with 20 minutes to spare was wonderful and I had a great time catching up with all of my family, friends and favourite haunts around my home town! I was worried that after 4 years living in London I would find Wellington too small, but this was not the case and I loved all of the small changes that have been made since I left (new cafes, a lot more smaller shops and heaps of street art).

I had 2 weeks of amazing coffee, good food, nice wine and amazingly for the time of year - sunshine! I didn't really get to do any shopping and in the end I didn't even have time to buy the dress that I sought your opinion on - http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ion-sought and it seems that this dress is now sold out online (but there is this one that is similar - http://www.maxshop.com/nz/styl.....originId=3) - but c'est la vie - a glass of wine with a friend I haven't seen for 4 years is a lot more important than a killer dress!

WIW - I will never travel in jeans again, it will be leggings and jeggings from now on. So comfortable and easy to sleep in - long haul to New Zealand from the UK is at least 26 hours of travel time, so comfort is essential.

I managed to do some closet shopping as well and brought back to the UK a jacket (the best fitting one I have ever had) and a skirt by a NZ designer, that is more wintery but I might see if I can get it to work over leggings.

Right, enough from me - on to catch up with everyone else!

Edited to add a photo I took while we ate an ice cream by Oriental Parade beach on a Sunday late afternoon - http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/.....directlink
