I love going to the Sasquatch festival at the Gorge in George, WA. This year, a single day pass is $79.50, and a four day pass is $295, and ticket prices include the cost of parking and/or camping. Granted, Bon Jovi will never play there, but Coldplay did back in 2003! Now i try to see bands i love when they're just starting out, enter contests to win them etc. Last year I saw Sleigh Bells for $12. Now they're stuff is getting played on MTV. I saw Muse for free a few years ago by winning a contest @ a bar. It was open air and there was only a price difference between normal tickets and tickets where you were located right before the stage. We had the cheaper ones but were almost right behind the barrier because we were fairly early. It was great!<br /> But even if it were great music, I would never pay more than 100€ for a concert ticket. Similar price for Bryan Adams and Meatloaf. But for the O2, which is the major concert venue in London you normally pay around £80 for a reasonable seat. I think that we paid £90 for our U2 tickets for their Wembly concert last summer. Did those tickets include entertainment packages and backstage passes?</p> <p>We are quite lucky living in London in that we normally get more than one show, so tickets are reasonably easy to get. Tickets to the theatre can be a lot harder and more expensive. I was looking at UFC tickets, and they range from $80 (at the top and back to a huge stadium where you probably can't even see the ring) up to $4000. There's no way that we can afford to go to an event like that right now, but everything seems to be the same. I was looking at a comedy club, and tickets ranged from $15-$35 per ticket, but then you have a two drink (at $8 a pop) and one appetizer minimum. I haven't been to a major concert in years. I almost fainted when I saw ticket prices. There were seats in the middle to front between $2800 and $5800 !!!! I was even more amazed to see them sold out through out Europe and many cities in the US. </p> <p>Who buys these tickets ? If I wanted really good seats it would cost about $18,000 ! That's what our van cost. </p>
