These kinds of things are not so subtle reminders about how vulnerable we can be in places we think are safe and that can really take its toll. After the initial shock and fear, I too felt a lot of anger.<br /> I realize he had some deep troubles, and I'm sorry for that, but I too am so frustrated that he would intend to take others down with him. It's not fair.<br /> But I am much better today, after a quiet evening at home with my husband and furbabies. I don't want to have a morbid outlook on life, but it was a reminder to cherish it even more.<br /> Thank you for your kind thoughts. I live less than 2 miles from the office complex where the crash happened. Brendan and I drive on the road right in front of the building every morning on our way to school and work. This morning, we drove by right after the crash, the police and fire hadn't even gotten there yet. I saw all this black smoke, but I thought it was just a building fire. Traffic was backed up and cars were turning around on the one-way road and going the wrong way to get away from the building so we turned onto the road that runs behind the building. About 3 minutes later all these fire trucks and police and ambulances drove by. Brendan said, "This seems like more of a response than just a fire, I would expect this for something like a terrorist attack." Then on the radio we heard it was a plane that hit the building. The latest is that 13 people were injured, two seriously burned. One person is still missing. Brendan used to work in that office complex, in Echelon V (and of course, Sarah works right there, too). It makes me so angry, because it just really hits close to home. I realize suicidal people are not in their right minds, and it makes me sad. But I have no sympathy for people who decide to kill themselves and take others with them in the process. What a completely selfish jerk. All because he didn't want to pay his taxes and got all bent out of shape when the IRS came after him. Pfff....f--- him.
