It's pricey, but my mascara doesn't budge. No smudging or flaking ever. It coats your lashes in tubes and washes off with water, not greasy remover. Like you, I have tried a lot of them, and most end up clumping or flaking onto my face halfway through the day. Tarte not only stayed put, but does a great job of filling in and elongating my sparse little lashes. It is not mascara but an eyelash enhancer serum you can but at Ulta. I was a bit skeptic at first but it is remarkable. Now I’m looking for a replacement - something low-key that darkens and enhances without clumping of flakiness. I tried Neutrogena’s suggested replacement, called Healthy Lengths I think - mucho clumps and Twiggy overkill. Then Revlon Fabulash, which at least doesn’t clump as much but smears a lot. Next was the classic Maybelline Great Lash, which wasn’t bad but left dark marks under the eyes after a while, even with the waterproof version. </p> <p>Any suggestions? I would prefer something waterproof because I wear contacts. Department store brands are ok if they really work. </p>
