Currently I am embellishing a t-shirt for my daughter with a bit of colourful embroidery. This morning we made her a pretty crown from a bit of glittery paper, glue and shiny buttons. And I hate wasting all my precious fabric.</p> <p>I've approached a local dressmaker about making some basic patterns for me and I'm still deciding if I should do that or not. I would love to be able to draft my own patterns that would fit perfectly, but there's nowhere to learn locally any more. Usually it means removing the waistband from the pants and adjusting. If you post pictures we'll give you help, but honestly it's probably not an easy job so I'd take it to a tailor.
