There's rumour of some kind of anti-NYE gathering by work ppl at someones house, so if they organise it I'll turn up for a bit. There are fireworks that will be set off quite close to here, so it will be pretty to look at. </p> <p>I am already dreading the number of drunks that are going to come in to ED new years day. Sounds like we've decided on a taco bar. I was hoping I could find some sort of disco ball or special lights for the kids to feel like they have their own little party and play kidz bopz music, they seem to enjoy that. They do a lovely prix-fixe menu for the evening which in cludes a complementary glass of proseco, and it's walking distance from our apartment (trying to get a cab on New Year's Eve is no joke). New Years is the biggest holiday for my family (as it is for most Russian families). It is tradition for us to have a really nice dinner on New Years Eve, then ring in the new year with champagne, and have dessert after midnight. For dinner we enjoy expensive delicacies that we don't usually eat during the year, like black caviar. Having a bonfire in the back garden to toast sausages and marshmallows then having some fireworks. mum and dad are going out so it's me and my BF and my broher and his GF. the boys are planning on getting sozzled they're stocking up already! Though i'm wondering how long we'll stay outside as we have had our first snow (yay!) and the temp is about - 6 at the mo and it's 10am! </p>
