My hometown has had a lot of flooding recently too - our local library is closed for at least 4 months to repair flood damage, and lots of friends and neighbors are gutting their basements to fix them. Disasters like these can bring out the best in people though, so I'm glad to see how your town is coming together just in the pics you posted to help each other out. I live in a city which gets flooded pretty frequently so I would advise you to move anything electrical off the ground or better yet, move it upstairs.
