I'm pretty much lost and super confused. There was another internal candidate who also interviewed for the same position as me, and she also did not get the job. I talked to her a few days ago and it turns out that this is the SECOND time she has been rejected -- she interviewed last year and the same thing happened; they hired someone off the street. That's a BAD sign. I don't want to be in her shoes next year. I almost wonder if they interview internal candidates just to be politically correct or something. The other candidate will not be returning for part-time work this season -- she said she's done being disrespected, etc. I totally understand where she's coming from. Rejected TWICE. I'm also really angry that they made me wait two months to tell me I didn't get the job. I wish it was handled differently.</p> <p>I don't want to seem like I'm giving up, but I'm starting to re-think going into the television industry. I've been toying with the idea of moving to Arizona (or somewhere where the cost of living is cheaper) and getting my Real Estate license and doing that. My mom is a Realtor and I've been around it all my life and I think I would be good at it. The problem is that, again, it's not consistent pay, at least not in the beginning.</p> <p>I would consider going to grad school and gaining more skills, but I can't afford that right now. It's a double edged sword.</p> <p>Michelle was kind enough to look over my resume and she gave me AMAZING tips.
