Some members buy an inexpensive full length mirror and simply take it wherever there is light and prop it up for photos, I believe, storing it somewhere in a closet when not using it for YLF photo ops! I have been considering this because our full length mirrors are located in places without enough light for picture taking. There's enough for me to see, but not enough for a flashless camera.

There was a system in feng shui where you would split each room in smaller squares and each was good for something ( money, health , love). I really don't remember but dresslover knows something!

Dresslover, tell me more! Where the heck are health/family/fame/reputation in my home?

The basic deal is, I have two places I can hang a mirror where I can see myself. One of them is in the laundry/mud room that opens up into the back yard. Our front door is the main entry - except when my husband is using the shop he built in back, because then he uses the back door to come in and out.

The other place is in my bedroom, but full view will be blocked by our dresser. It's just how the room is set up.

So, the question is, am I funking my feng shui if I elect the laundry room...?

Energy enters your space via the main entrance and according to feng shui, the main entrance is not necessarily the front door. The main entrance is the door that is the gateway to your home i.e. the door you enter and exit most. If that's the back door, don't place the mirror facing it.

Location of the mirror is also dependent on the area you hang it in. For example, a mirror can go in health and family, but not fame and reputation.

No expert but from what I remember if your front and back door are aligned ( not very good feng-shui) you should put a mirror on one of the adjacent walls , to create a longer path for the chi who ( supposedly ) will bounce from the front door to the mirror to the back door, creating a more slow flow than front-back door. Don't take my word, i remember ( maybe wrongly) that stuff from a phase I had a crush on feng shui.

I'm no expert either, but I think that facing any door is bad.

Any feng shui experts out there? I have a small house and limited places to put a mirror. I know it shouldn't face the bed or the front door. Is it bad if it faces the *back* door?
