If you don't like it right away, give it a chance--it sneaks up on you the more you get into it and get to know the characters and story lines. I have a co-worker who abandoned it after watching only one episode because she was offended by the sexism (which, let's face it, was much more overt in the early 60s). The whole time I'm watching Mad Men I'm looking at the clock to see how much I still have left to enjoy :(<br /> We used to Netflix Sopranos and Deadwood years ago - there really is something to be said about watching a bunch at once. It's decadent in a wonderful way. </p> <p>My Mother in law says the show Mad Men depresses her b/c it is too close to reality for what that time was really like. I'm wondering if we will see very little of BEtty this season though. I hope not as I so look forward to seeing what she wears. We will obviously see more of Joan, a good thing. And I'm terribly curious if this divorce will actually go forward and Betty will remarry so quickly. I fear it will. For some reason, I really want Don and Betty to work out though I know that isn't realistic and the show seems to be committed to realism over sappy happy endings. I'm very excited for the premier tomorrow! Anyone else? </p>
