It's a pain AJ, but you get used to it. I bought a stainless steel travel mug for my coffee with a lipstick pink/red lid so my lipstick color wouldn't show! I'm hooked on Burt's Bees tinted lipbalm these days. The stains are really drying and you have to keep putting balm on top.

AJ - I wear Christian Dior that I buy at Sephora. Its light, but adds just the color that I want - and it doesn't seem to rub off on things! You have such great lips that I think you'd look WONderful in just a touch of color on your lips!

That's a tough one, AJ. I think Taylor's got it down and I would go with her lead. In fact, she's inspired me to check out Sephora tomorrow, because I saw a woman who worked at AT or Talbot's (can't remember!) and I admired her really pretty red lipstick (not that I could wear it) and she said it was the Sephora brand stain and it doesn't rub off, and she'd just come from lunch and it looked immaculate and perfect. I may go for a lighter shade since I have thin lips and am not as young as you as her great color may not work for me. But, the formula of it sounded like something I'd want to try and is in line with what Taylor is saying. In general, I wear lipstick every day and love color on my lips and have been using a Sue Devitt (from Australia) and really like the natural ingredients in her lipsticks.

AJ, I have been lucky enough to meet you and I would say that your lips have a lot of natural color !! Lucky you !!
I would go into stains because they don't have lots of waxy pigment.:)
The type that don't wear off are often double process colors ...2 step... and seem too fussy and more than your natural beauty requires!

Lipstains don't usually leave colours all over the place; and also, if you're the kind of person that likes to apply in the morning and not again for the rest of the day, I recommend Maybelline's 24 hr line! It's quite nice! It also includes a clear gloss stick, so it's not as drying! :)

I hate lipstick. It comes off on everything.

(I'm bothered by that too and have no recommendations! I eagerly look forward to the responses by those in the know.)

(EDIT: I wear tinted balm and THAT trace color rubbing off even annoys me -_-)

I usually wear lip balm, but I am trying to venture into colored lipstick. My main problem with it is that it leaves lipstick stains on straws, cups, utensils, etc. It irritates me to no end to see this! Am I the only one bothered by it?

I know there are lipsticks out there that are not suppose to come off on things, but do they really work? Are they more drying on the lips? Any good ones to recommend?
