Heirlooms always have more meaning - she'd be happy you are loving them.

That sounds like a nice use of bedside tables!

Christieanne- the dressers were my husband's grandmother's. They are probably from the 40's and I think that is their original finish. We inherited them when she passed away, along with the matching bedside tables. I'm waiting for hubby to make them into a vanity. Right now they just have a board across them, but he is supposed to make a nice top (that we will just lay across, so there is no alteration to the original pieces). That vanity area is probably the next project for the bedroom area, along with painting my vintage armoire white.

Clutter away on the dresser, just fasten everything with museum putty. It's great for cleaning too, all you have to do is run a feather duster over everything. Nothing will fall over or move unless you move it and it is easy to remove.

Khris - thanks for link to mag. I will look for that one as Flea Market Style pretty much defines my eclectic taste.
I like how you put the frames above the silhouettes - nice! Did you find the dressers somewhere and refinish them? They are beautifully done.

I've got a side table waiting for paint and a beauty salon chair (of all things but it's cool) that needs a decision on reupholstering right now. So many projects, so little time

I am finally getting around to a few more projects in my bedroom. Here's my blog post about it:
http://chewyspaghetti.blogspot.....-2012.html
I got my kids silhouettes framed and hung, got some branches for my vase, and found an actual table runner to use as a dresser scarf. In the last photo, you can see the relationship between the two dressers. My next projects are to find two vintage hand mirrors to hang on either side of the oval frame, and maybe get a silhouette of my cat to go in the square frame. Then the dressers will be done! I'd like to clutter up the tall dresser with pretty stuff, but the hubs complains that things fall over when he shuts the drawers.
Oh- and I discovered there are not one, but two magazines devoted to decorating with flea market finds!
Flea Market Style:
http://fleamarketstylemag.blogspot.com/
and
one other one that I can't seem to find online, but I think it was Flea Market Decorating- and I saw them at Target.
