I'm supposed to head up there tomorrow. Ten days without power for half the state and trying to have a wedding...yep, that was fun.</p> <p>DH and I took Tuesday off to drive to my parents' (on the VA coast) to pull our sailboat out of the water and tie everything down. They put in a standby generator after 2003 so they should be fine. We're far enough inland that very little will be felt here.</p> <p>Thanks for the good thoughts Cookie! My mom lives on the NC coast, not right on the water, but close enough! My three siblings and I have been in constant contact with her these last couple of days. She's been through several bad storms, but luckily, no real damage to home.
