Hi AJ!

Since I don't have any young children at home I don't have any kid-friendly restaurant recommendations for you, but I saw this in the paper today and thought it might interest you and your family:

http://www.galveston.com/treesculptures

Hurricane Ike killed thousands of trees on Galveston Island and artists have transformed some of the ruined trees into unique sculptures. It says they are scattered throughout the city's historic neighborhoods, everything from a geisha to a pod of dolphins to the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz can be found. See the website for locations.

Have a wonderful time with your family!

We will be takng a family trip to Houston soon and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on great places to visit and eat that are kid friendly. We usually spend a day at Herman Park visiting the museums and zoo and also a day at Galveston. What little gems are we missing? Is there a better beach spot that we should try out?
