It is one of my dreams to follow the Tour de France. In 1998, there were three stages of the Tour in Ireland and my parents brought me to two of them. This experience really kicked off my love of cycling and the Tour. The sport is such a brilliant, thrilling combination of skill, fitness and strategy. Greg is a cyclist and the sport is serious stuff once you get into the strategy and skill of it. AMAZING. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I am not a cyclist. The second year, the entire Tour came right past our house!!! We had a HUGE party that day and it goes down as one of the best times we had in Paris. I highly recommend the activity – with your pets. Bambi is a kid goat actually. We came across a flock of very friendly goats one morning and they were so friendly. One of them even tried to eat my hydration pack/ bag! </p> <p>De, I was studying Political Science and Sociology. I'm very happy now as I have high enough grades for the masters I applied for. Needless to say, exam results (as the group I was on holidays with were the university cycling club) were celebrated with lots of cheap wine (and a hangover!). </p> <p>Angie, which year did you follow the Tour around France?
