I had an unfortunate experience with a soft, light gray leather bag and some dark wash jeans (fortunately, my dry cleaners were able to get the worst of it off). So when I bought a very light tan bag recently, I sprayed it with leather and suede protector. So far, so good! My white pleather one gets way more use though, I use it regularly but make sure not to wear jeans and as soon as I notice any marks I get them cleaned off asap usually just with a baby wipe. I figured the mall was a safe place to take it and I was careful not to wear any dark wash denim so it wouldn't get stained. Can you believe that the red star on the Macy's bag rubbed against the bag and turned it pink? Yes, I kid you not. I was able to save it using one of those white erasers but sheesh, I think white is too much maintenance for me : ) </p>
