The most I've come up with is it's really bad when it's hot and humid I really suffer in the summer and last winter when we had -10 I felt fab. I know breathing problems aren't fun, I've had asthma as a child and now have a hypersensitive bronchial system. I hope they'll find the cause when they do the fast breathing test. When do you have the most problems? Outside or inside? Did you got tested for allergies? It just takes time and I'm sorry it makes you feel badly and must also be frightening to you. I had a swallowing problem some years ago and I would feel like I couldn't get enough air and then I would slightly hyperventilate which really scared me. They think it was a combo of acid reflux and esophageal spasming. It is gone thank god but I dealt with it for a few months.
