When we picked Em up from school today a lot of the parents were asking me if she actually had her op because she seemed so well!! A bit of pain on waking, and as she nears the next dose of meds time, but other than that, she is doing really well. She even snored less last night than I can ever remember!! I thought she'd be swollen and still noisy for a few more days LOL</p> <p>Em is slowly getting over the stress - she had a massive meltdown this morning, but we've just had a big talk and cuddle on the couch, and she is heaps better already - she needed to just talk, and the little possum just didn't get the chance over the past few days.</p> <p>So, for now, I'm catching up on the washing and everything, and trying to get some sleep (sleeping in the hospital was a non-event!).</p> <p>But I see there are lots of new goodies here that have me very excited, so hopefully tomorrow, I will get a chance to have a look at it all!!! Has been sleeping pretty much ever since. Has had a few drinks but throat was hurting &amp; she was a bit distressed moe pain relief has just been given so she should be up to attempting an ice block soon. I had mine removed when I was 5 with local anesthesia. Before that I had pneumonia twice a year and after this surgery it did not happen anymore. (My goodness - that sounds like I'm totally uncaring and cold-hearted! I'm not - I swear LOL)</p> <p>Emma (7 in July) is actually the one who is suffering the most - she is incredibly fragile and very worried about her sister, and us not being home tomorrow night while we stay in hospital... I think its because she's had so many ops, and spent so much time in hospital that the novelty has well and truly worn off and she knows that the pain of surgery (although hers were much more significant).</p> <p>So any super-fast healing vibes for Georgie and calming vibes for Emma will be greatly appreciated!</p> <p>I don't know if I will have the laptop with me at hospital or not, but will update you as soon as I can.</p> <p>And right now, I'm off to pack our hospital bags - making sure we both look our best of course!!</p> <p>Thanks so much! </p>
