Aida, I'm ready to go on an intensive hunt as soon as I get through my latest set of keep/returns. Priorities, you know. :)

Elly, that must be so frustrating! Your friend should consider himself lucky to have someone like you who wants to help him with his wardrobe. Men generally do care about what they wear but a lot of them don't want to put in the effort to get there. To be fair to the husband, he does have other clothing and willingly wears them/will accept clothing direction for appropriate occasions. But if he's not doing anything special, out come the t-shirts!

Try etsy! If you find designs you like most artisans are willing to print on both the front and back and on any color t you want.

Honestly, I'm ready to hurt picky men (don't worry, I won't! but I recently had an altercation with someone that was wearing a very shabby belt with his "dress" clothes-- the belt was a cheap synthetic that had worn through and the white fibers were showing, plus he carries things like his cell attached to his belt, so it was liable to bust as well--- I offered to buy him a new one, he refused. So, he decides to buy a new belt but acts like I'm forcing him because I mentioned it once--- goes right back to the 10 dollar synthetic when he could have had a really durable all leather belt that would put up with carrying what he carries with it and still look nice for years for 15 bucks more-- and then he tells me that he is still going to wear the other falling-apart belt with his non-dress clothes so he doesn't mess his 10 dollar belt up--- the non-dress clothes he wears 95% of the time) . It is ridiculous to wear the same 5 tees. That said, I like the kind of guys that are willing to wear anything I bring home so long as it is soft and in a normal guy color and style. I'm sure your husband actually does care what he looks like, but it is particularly frustrating for me because the men in my life have made it abundantly clear that they DON'T care what they look like, don't care about being practical (insisting on buy a whole bunch of clothes and then wearing 5 shirts with holes and then freaking out about not having anything to wear when one dies or is in the wash or wearing clothes that are not meant for what they are doing or the season) or comfortable (wearing the pants that are too tight in the waist), but they still thwart all my efforts to keep them from looking like homeless doofuses.

MaryK: Thanks - I had heard of cafepress but not of zazzle. I should make him design his own - he was mentioning that he wanted to get t-shirts with his comic characters on them.

Jayne: I would do that...if I'd made dinner more than five times in the past year. He hates clothes shopping with a passion and I'm happy to take care of his clothes for him if I don't have to cook.

Christieanne: I know! No one does designs on the front and back anymore. I don't know how/where he found his old ones. He's willing to be a bit flexible on the front/back printing. He would definitely wear a t-shirt to support a local rock band - that's a really good suggestion.

Designs on front and back makes it hard. I was going to suggest The Gap but a lot of theirs are old school brands. Target does a lot of graphic ts.
My DH wears t's with designs but he mixes a few brands (mostly the Converse Star) and rock bands and some local artists that we pick up at street fairs. CafePress is a great source!

They have gigantic selections at http://www.zazzle.com and http://www.cafepress.com. And if you don't like their choices, you can design your own!

The husband wears the same five graphic t-shirts over and over again. I'm so tired of looking at them. I've tried looking for new ones but it's almost impossible to find ones that meet his criteria

Printing on both the front and back
No huge design/print on the front (which rules out threadless.com t-shirts)
The design cannot have anything to do with sports, nationalism, alcohol, sex, insulting people or advertising a company.

Just to make it harder, he prefers brown t-shirts.

If you run across any graphic t-shirts online that fit this criteria, I will be overwhelmingly grateful. The closest thing I've found so far is this one.

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....pid=556041
